Dr. Britt Faucette is an Ecosystem Scientist, Certified Professional Erosion & Sediment Control (CPESC), and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and serves as the Director of Research and Technical Services for Filtrexx International.  He has a Ph.D. from the Odom School of Ecology at the University of Georgia where he researched soil-water-plant performances of various BMPs used in soil erosion and storm water applications.  Britt coordinates international research programs and design services for Filtrexx International and serves on technical committees with the American Society of Test Methods (ASTM) and the Erosion Control Technical Council (ECTC) to create and evaluate new erosion and sediment control standard test methods and design criteria for BMPs.  He has contributed to 12 scientific peer-reviewed and many popular publications on organic materials used in storm water management and reviews research manuscripts for the Journal of Environmental Quality (JEQ), Journal of Soil and Water Conservation (JSWC), and the Transactions of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE).  Britt regularly develops specifications and design criteria and provides professional training for sustainable site development. He is interested in developing low impact development (LID), green infrastructure, and green building practices that preserve our Natural Capital, enhance Ecosystem Services, and promote Cultural Integrity. Britt has worked with foreign governments, taught graduate students, and consulted on compost and storm water related projects in 14 countries.
